Millions of Americans celebrate Thanksgiving despite the Covid-19 recommendation

 

The United States continues to record a record number of new infections and hospitalizations due to Covid-19 amid millions of people traveling and gathering during Thanksgiving.

The United States, the world's largest epidemic zone, recorded an additional 181,490 cases, 2,297 deaths and 89,959 hospitalizations in the past 24 hours, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The alarming increase appears to have been caused by the millions of commuters who gathered during Thanksgiving, despite a recommendation that could worsen the disease situation in the country.
