Fabulous Multi-Purpose Appliance

So far I have made white rice and a cake. I used a box cake that I altered with some added nuts and yogurt. I got the directions from the Aroma web site which has many recipes. You use one half cake mix following the instructions on the box. I have yet to dry brown rice, quinoa or steam, but I am sure everything will be good. If I had to have only one cooking device this would be it. I love it!

Absolute lifesaver!!!

Who knew a Ricecooker would make a happy couple with absolutely no cooking skills SO MUCH HAPPIER?! Ever since we got it we have been making home cooked meals non-stop. My husband is as surprised as I am. I usually set the ricecooker before showering, when the rice is done my husband uses the STS function to make some vegetables and some chicken and by the time Im done dinner is almost done. The STS function is also great for sauces!!

So far this rice cooker is amazing! The rice really does not stick to the pot. Or the spoon! Everything is super easy to clean and so far I have been able to make perfect brown rice, white jasmine rice, and a cake. I have not tried the oatmeal function yet but I am looking forward to it. The cake turned out better than if I had made it in a pan. It fell right out of the rice cooker without any pieces sticking or falling off, which is an issue I seem to have in regular cake dishes no matter how much I grease it. I love this rice cooker!

The most amazing kitchen gadget I ever bought. Makes perfect rice each and every time. Quick to learn how to use, very user friendly programming. Speeds up dinner as I now have more room on the stove top for more things to cook. Just wish it had a temperature indicator of some sort while it's cooking, so I won't burn myself.

Had this item for a month or so now. It works perfect . I notice that if I wash my rice four times and double the amount of water this rice cooker cooks my rice perfectly . Extremely easy to use . I can feed all 7 of us and have plenty of rice left over with just 3 cups .

Aroma Rice Cooker

Decided to purchased this after our Sanyo rice cooker($200) stopped working. Have been using this 3-4 times a week for about 3 weeks. We love it so far. I'm Japanese and our family eats rice almost everyday. Rice tasts as good as when I was using the Sanyo fancy one. The timer works great too. Rice got a little dry when it kept it warm for 6 hours. But other than that, I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase.

Have had it for a few months and its amazing compared to the last cooker we had, granted we only cook rice in this one and nothing else. The rice doesn't stick to the bottom which is amazing, with our last one we had to scrub it clean all the time. I also like the different options, we use this two to three times a week and only with rice. If you use it more often or cook many other foods in it, it may be better for you to splurge on one of the fancier cookers.

you have a complete dinner that tastes fantastic. Now if that were not enough

Returned one very expensive rice cooker (because it did not have steamer basket) and purchased two of these. One for me and one for my daughter. It is a breeze to make rice while placing frozen veggies and chicken in steamer. When the alarm goes off, you have a complete dinner that tastes fantastic. Now if that were not enough, it can all be easily washed in the dishwasher! I have never had an egg shaped cooker before. It is good for 3-4 people so not too big and not too small. Perfect size so you don't overeat but still have yummy leftovers!

Those that are complaining just don't know what their doing.

I've had mine for 3 years and it worked perfectly. I've made stews, meatloaf, risotto, bread and much more. My time living in Japan taught me how to cook using a rice cooker because they don't have ovens. After 3 years it died but after a little research I replaced the cut off fuse located under that little safety knotch you place your bowl on for $3.00 and it will last another 3 years. I just purchased another one used from Amazon because it was so simple to fix. To all of those that have the Teflon peeling obviously don't know proper cleaning techniques for this type of material. Never used metal utensils. Even though it says dishwasher safe, the chemicals involved causes any non stick surface to deteriorate. It's non stick! Soap and water only because it's non stick. It runs right off. Mine continues to look as if I purchased yesterday.

No Problems Here.. Love This Machine!

Unlike other reviewers here, I Have NEVER had any issues with this product. I had mine for over 3 years, used it almost every day for just about everything, such as baking cakes, cooking brown rice, etc, etc, and it never once failed me. The only reason I got rid of my older one is that the white one looked bad in my kitchen. I never knew that Aroma made a Stainless Steel Version, so once I found this one, I donated my old white Plastic One To a Friend, and Ordered this one, just because it looked better in my kitchen. Absolutely love the Cake Baking Cycle, as I have never been able to bake a Cake in a Conventional Oven without it turning into a Disaster Area. This thing has always made me PERFECT Cake without the mess. Not to mention that it makes the most tasty Brown Rice I have ever had, other than restraunt made. And Yes, the Instruction Book / Recipe Manual IS YOUR FRIEND when using this thing.
